Sounds Like
We like to think that our sound is pretty unique, but 'Indie' is probably best for the moment. Look out for a shift of style in the future...
We are Violent Ken. Our story is fairly long so we'll make it as short as possible for you. Dave, Matt (who origianlly played bass) and James formed a band about 3 years ago. For ages we looked for a singer and eventually found a guy called Nick Ledgar who also played guitar. It went well until school held battle of the bands (which we couldn't have done with out the wonderful Kathrine Hughes and her brilliant organisation and inventiveness ;) ) and we found out Nick couldn't play in it because he isn't part of our school. So Nick left and we recruited Joe and Becky (who played bass as Matt wanted to play guitar, and to be fair was better on the guitar). This resulted in the formation of Violent Ken (we were originally Felix Measures, after Dave misread some words on the wall in music and said Felix Measures which we adopted as our name), the name came from looking through a PS2 cheats book and finding the cheat for (I think it was Street Fighter): Play as Violent Ken, and it stuck, and we continued to be a band after Battle of the Bands. It's not the story of Lord of the Rings but it's not too bad.
The story continues.... Marm has had to leave the band due to other commitments and with the loss of Marm, Becky and Dave have decided to call it a day. Joe and Matt will continue to fulfil the legacy of Violent Ken but we need your help. This is now an appeal, if there are any drummers, bassists and guitartists out there, who play to a decent standard and wish to join a band, then contact us. As Shaggy once said to Scooby - 'friends never quit.'

im impressed with the changes in shoot its 1000% better. looking forward to hearing sum more improved stuff. like the bass solo, then where the drums kick in mid way and the solo sounds cool after that bit too.
wen does it begin to ache playing those same two chords for the entirety of song for u. i mean 2 minutes and 37 seconds of the same chord change must enduce cramp.
u have a sound u can work with which is good but spend sum more time on maybe musical structure and put sum creativity in. the first song, too, is pretty much just the same 4 chords all the way through except for the bit b4 the key change then u go back the same 4 chords just transposed a little higher. b clever because i kno from playing with u that u can do it. sorry for the rant.feel very free to critisize any of my music. Peace x
