Pretty much anything music related. I'm in a hoity toity early music choir, and in a punk band. it's all about balance. I finally found my endorphins; they've been on vacation in tahiti, so I'm running about 3 miles a day. I finally figured out why everyone is into this exercise thing; all this time I've been doing it cause I thought I should, not cause I felt better. white-water rafting is awesome. so it discovering what's not to code in my house today. it's a fun game. I've learned to love it.
Music
I own more cds than you. or your mom. or your sister. or tower records, for that matter. and had to put an extra hard drive in my computer to store all the mp3's. it's my job. but also my love. current favorites are richard cheese, imogen heap, saving jane, breaking benjamin, nina simone, spoon and a few broadway cast recordings. yes, I like showtunes. get over it. I promise not to expose you to them unless you ask very nicely. :)
Movies
Eternal Sunshine..blah blah mind, Princess Bride, Resident Evil, any horror movie I can make fun of, random foreign language movies, random action movies. I like a lot of different stuff. I am, however, totally unable to watch any of the national lampoon vacation movies from start to finish. fifteen minutes is really enough. I'm really in love with American Dreamz right now. Any movie that has an american idol-stylie show featuring a terrorist who got kicked out of the terrorist academy singing "dream the impossible dream" while doing NSync dance moves is family fun for everyone.
Books
I read a lot, it tends to irritate people. pretty much anything I get my hands on. currently in the book pile are empire rising, the working poor, waiting, prozac nation, and a few girly books. I just finished georgia durante's bio about the mafia syndicate in new york city in the 60's and 70's and how she wound up in the middle. I wish david sedaris would release a book of those fables he keeps reading when he's on NPR

About me: I like being a contradiction in terms. it's fun. I hate using capitals, unless it's for I, since I don't think I'm quite as cool as e.e. cummings. I drives my sensible car to work everyday, and then when I visit family, race old sports cars with my uncle. I actually use my college degree, every day.
yes that's right. a liberal arts edumacation can be useful. shut up, it can. without it, I would not have the power to warp small minds. and without Jeff, I wouldn't have the patience to deal with them all day long. he's like Veruca in Charlie and the chocolate factory, really.
I firmly believe that I can fix just about anything that breaks in my house. and if that fails, I know all the qualified people that can fix it.
