Influences
The Monkeys with Franz Ferdinand at the Forum London 2006
The Violin Monkeys are Professionally trained, their performing credits include; Madness, Franz Ferdinand, Basement Jaxx, the James Taylor Quartet, Lemar, Barry Manilow, Nancy Sinatra, Jools Holland, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Charlotte Church, Steve Winwood, Kid Creole and Oasis.
The Monkeys are equally at ease in the studio, their recent collective recording credits include; The Divine Comedy, The Pipettes, Madness and Radiohead.
Not only a great live section, they can often be seen in West End shows and music videos, with frequent appearances on international television and the stadium circuit, the Violin Monkeys are the ultimate performing section. Not limited to reading and arranging, the Monkeys can busk and improvise. Their act consists not only of bang on brass but fierce moves.
This Madness tribute Album will be out next year (spring 2009) featuring Madness' covers by Nouvelle vague, Dr Ring Ding, MOT, JAG, Freddy Loco, Ejectés, Boy In The Boat, Jah On Slide etc...
