How To Be Alone Reviews:
“Bombastic indie rock with the glittering femme fronted panache of early Blondie, spiky, driving and utterly enjoyable throughout…” Subba-Cultcha.com
"The title track is a gem that rolls into a psychedelic jam..." Drowned in Sound reviewer
“Another girl fronted band, this time from London but by now I’m glad about that. It’s good to see so many women in rock and I’ve become a convert! V88 play west coast country/indie tinged pop tunes and ‘Bar Stool Blues’ is very apt after the Tricky Cider kicks in and things are starting to indeed be “drunk and a little hazy.” An updated version of Blondie is the obvious comparison, with the punchy pop ingredient very modern and her vocal style has that Blondie urgency/want to it.” Scott Williams EFestivals.co.uk (Urban Lawns Festival 2007)
The Viper88s have come to rest after 3 years of gigging, recording, fun and frolics, loads of gigs home and away, a festival and so many moments that we will have as happy memories. Thanks to everyone who has shared in the good times we had… xxxx
Formed in the London Indie Clubs where the beer is old and the floors are sticky. Four friends decided to finally put their money where their mouths are and put a band together. The Viper88s rehearsed hard forming the tunes Si and Steve had put together on rainy Sundays for years into near stadium anthems... Now a year and a half on and plenty of London toilet circuit gigs under their belts the Viper88s play punchy two and a half minute indiepunkfuzzpop and full on folkish-rock with ninja like precision. Child like optimism has always been the key to the Viper88s success.

Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
It’s been far too long since I last said hello and so much has happened I thought it about time we said did.
We’ve changed a lot, now we are an “UltraModern, post-electro rock, post-nu rave behemoth where Muse and Mansun meet a Massive Attack with Duran Duran pop sensibilities, louder guitars, and a stunning female front person/guitar virtuoso”, or so we have been told.
I’d love to know what you’ve been up to since we disappeared into the dark damp studio cave, let us know how it’s going, I’m always up for a chat! Be good, and if you can’t be good, be lucky ;-) Dawn xx Scarlet/blonde
