Depuis l’âge de cinq ans, Virginie Cummins aime chanter. À onze ans, son intérêt pour la chanson l’amène à suivre ses premiers cours de chant qui développe de plus en plus sa passion. La musique fait partie de ses racines, un don qui se transmet de génération en génération.
En 2003, Virginie obtient son baccalauréat en chant, musique, jazz, interprétation avec mention. Sa voix grave, chaude et envoûtante est d’une rareté exceptionnelle. Son parcours est solide et impressionnant. Depuis l’an 2000, elle se joint au groupe Zarzuela : un ensemble d’une grande réputation, fondé par le renommé Yves Lapierre et composé de vingt choristes qui accompagnent les artistes tels que Ginette Reno, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Lara Fabian, etc.
En 2007, elle chante avec le groupe Whip Cream au Festival de Jazz à Montréal. Elle est choriste pour Céline Dion dans le cadre du lancement de l’album D’elles à TVA et au Gala Artis. Elle effectue une prestation au Festival Juste pour rire dans le cadre du gala de Dominique Michel.
En 2008, elle est choriste au Gala Artis, sur plusieurs gala au Festival Juste pour Rire, de même que pour les B.B. dans le cadre des 20 ans des Francofolies de Montréal. Elle est choriste pour le spectacle de Céline Dion et cie au 400e de Québec.Elle est choriste-soliste pour les albums de K-Maro et Shym. Elle travaille actuellement sur différents projets avec Scott Price, réputé dans le milieu artistique.
Le 24 janvier 2009, elle livre une performance électrisante au Centre Bell. Lors du concours d’habiletés présenté dans le cadre du weekend du match des étoiles de la LNH, diffusé à RDS et CBC.
Virginie œuvre présentement, avec le producteur américain Matt Cusson, sur des chansons originales soul/R&B. Actuellement, il est en tournée avec Brian McKnight, chanteur de renommé internationale. Il a été choisi pour faire partie de la tournée de Christina Aguilera. Il a également partagé la scène avec plusieurs artistes reconnus, tels que John Mayer, James & Levingston Taylor, Stanley Clark, Babyface etc.Elle travaille actuellement sur différents projets avec Scott Price, réputé dans le milieu artistique.

The amazing story of Virginie Cummins all started when she was barely 5 years old. She experienced a tremendous pleasure in singing. That passion inspired her to enrol in her first singing classes when she turned 11 years old. Music was her legacy, a gift transmitted to her from generation to generation.
Virginie already has an impressive and solid career. Since 2000, she has joined the group Zarzuela: an ensemble of 20 backup singers of great reputation which was founded by the renowned Yves Lapierre. This group performed for major and international singers such as Ginette Reno, Lara Fabian etc. She’s also the backup singer on K-Maro and Shym’s albums. She is currently working on different projects with Scott Price, a household name in Quebec’s music and show business industry.
In 2003, Virginie graduated, obtaining her bachelor-of-arts with honours in singing, music, jazz, interpretation. Her warm, touching and exceptional voice is so soothing, just close your eyes and be carried away by this silky sound. Along with a powerful, thrilling and exclusive voice, she’s gifted with charm to touch each and every one. Her charisma unveils an outstanding personality.
In 2007, she was a backup singer at the Gala Artis (award show watched by 1 million viewers) and for the launching of Celine Dion’s album “D’elles” on TVA’s network. She performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival with the band Whip Cream. She did a brilliant performance at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal during a special tribute to Dominique Michel.
In 2008, she was a backup singer for Celine Dion’s once-in-a lifetime concert, as part of Quebec's 400th anniversary celebrations. More than 250,000 spectators gathered outdoors for this grand event!
In 2009, Virginie Cummins performed at the Honda NHL SuperSkills during the NHL All-Star weekend at the Bell Center in Montreal with the Scott Price band. More than 20 000 people attended the event!
Virginie is presently working on original songs with producer Matt Cusson. Currently, he is touring the world with Brian McKnight, he was chosen to tour with Christina Aguilera and has shared stages and studios with John Mayer, James and Livingston Taylor, John Mayer, Stanley Clarke, Babyface, as well as many others. We had the privilege to have Shoshana Bean co-writing on More to me than you and Javier Colon playing the beautiful acoustic guitar on Can’t walk away.
