About me:

I'm Stephanie, 24, I'm a breastfeeding, co-sleeping, baby-wearing, stay-at-home mom. I have a flair for photography and I'm a volunteer firefighter. I'm married to my best friend, Jerry, who's also a firefighter and soldier. We have a beautiful little boy named Hunter, born 9/25/08. We also have three angels, lost in 2007, waiting for us in Heaven. I'm pretty much an open book, so if you have questions...just ask!

Who I'd like to meet:

I am a miscarriage survivor, three times over. It is impossible to understand unless you have been in my shoes. You don't have to feel sorry for me or my husband. Just be nice and thoughtful. Feel free to ask any questions you like, I am not afraid to talk about my situation. But don't tell me that it happened for a reason, and that I will have children to hold one day. I know this already, and it doesn't change the fact that I have lost three children already. They were my babies, I carried them inside me, not for long, but regardless of how small they were, they are my babies and always will be!

Yeah, it sucks but like I said thank goodness it's an easy class! Let me know if you need help with AP1. I have that completed already and got an A. =) Your fall term is booked! I have all of thos already met as well. I was able to get a substitution waiver for my dev psych since I already took that class and have a degree in Psych! It's over 6 yrs old, they require you to retake it but not me!! =) I will have my ADN (RN) in 4 semesters and then I am bridging my psych-rn degree to an MSN degree (all of which could be done online except for clinicals of course). I will be able to skip over the BSN program all together. Then I will be an NP. Don't overwhelm yourself to much! Those AP's take alot of time to study for. Along with the chem. I was lucky and took my chem over the summer. Both 1 and 2. 10 weeks and done!

I don't think that you'll have any problems with those classes either, final wise. Good luck on all of them though! I'm sure you'll do great! That's awesome about you going into nursing! I start my nursing classes this Fall and will have my RN in 4 semesters! Congrats on picking your major! I def have a full plate to but it's well worth it! Are you taking any summer classes? I will be taking Micro the second term and eng 102 in the first term. That one is online though. I have to retake it due to a UofL screw up. Oh, well. At least it's something that it easy though. =)

Well no not really. I'm still trying to learn how to handle 5 yrds of fabric lol. That is a lot! LOL

But the way I put it on was I have it open on my belly then take it to the back and cris cross it over top of my sholders. Put it underneath the section on my belly then cross it again and tie it in the back.

I'm gonna have to look up different ways to see what looks more comfy.

I want to put her on my back too that way I can do more.

Aww she is teething SOO BAD! Her gums are SOOOOO swollen. Nothing was helping. She had tablets, tylenol, and dad was giving her a popcicle. I feel so bad for her :( She wouldn't even nurse it hurt so bad... or take her paci :(
  • May 4 2009 7:25 PM

Why yes I did make it :)

I got the fabric at Walmart on their clearance table :) I only pd 2.00 a yard for it! And it was 60in wide. So I cut it in half and I got a half for me and a half for my sister!

I think I like it. I'm a newbie so it takes a lil bit to put on and figure out how to do it. But heck you can't feel her in there it is wonderful! I think I want to pick up some other solid colors too! But I definatly like it!

I want to learn how to put it on that I can nurse her in it...

I'm also wondering if it is too wide. Cuz it seems like it it too tight up around her heck like...what am I doing wrong?

~~I think she is REALLY starting to look a lot like me :) hee hee makes me feel good. I was starting to wonder whos baby she wasn't cuz she didn't look ANYTHING like me...she was all her father. But she is looking like me but she has her dads attitude and patience ugh! LOL

What other kind of fabric do you think would work?
  • May 1 2009 2:37 PM

Thanks! Same to you. I have one more to go. Thursday of next week at 5pm. Anatomy and Physiology 2 lecture final. My lab was last night. What finals do you have to take?
  • May 1 2009 3:16 PM

Do you still babywear? I"m REALLY thinking about getting some fabric to make my own. What kind do you think will work the best...some were saying the Jersey fabic. What about 100% cotton? Does it have to feel stretchy?
  • Apr 30 2009 12:02 PM

Yay! I bet hunter's tooth looks so cute! GO Hunter! Addison is still toothless, but, I'm not expecting teeth anytime soon. Because Carson was 10 months. LOL. By the way.. Thanks for the cd, the pictures are so good!

    A Poem About Our Girlfriends

    Someone will always be prettier.

    Someone will always be smarter.

Some of their houses will be bigger.

Some will drive a better car.

Their children will do better in school.

And their husband will fix more things around the house.

So let it go, and love you and your circumstances
    Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.

The most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children.

The richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes~ might be lonely.

    So, love who you are.

Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,

'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!'
'Winners make things happen~~ Losers let things happen.

    '
Be 'Blessed' Ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman.

'To the world you might be one person, to me you are special!

SEND THIS TO YOUR FAVORITE WOMEN ~ I JUST DID!

Yeah it was bad.. But I would do it all over again.. She is well worth that pain that I went through.

When I was on the mag it never bothered me.. I was tired of laying and not being able to walk and not eat. I layed there for 41 hours with no food and no way to get up and walk. It was awful.. I even yelled at my nurse..LOL I felt so bad.. i really cant say that I miss being pregnant.. I am actually glad that its over. I love her with all my heart but Im glad its over..

Yeah I am going to check out Saint Catherines...Like I said I am giong to be moving out to Bardstown in the next few months.. I am going to be moving him with my b/f.. Her daddy. I am just waiting to get a car..
  • Mar 26 2009 5:21 PM

Girl I had the worst pregnancy ever...I had my galbladder out when I was 24 weeks pregnant.. Then at 28 weeks I had tohave a blood transfusion.. I got preclampsia at 28 to 29 weeks in.. Then at 36 weeks I had to have another blood transfusion. It was awful. So at 37 weeks they put me in to induce me.. I layed there for 41 hours having contractions but not dialaiting or anything. I had the mag sulf, potosein, and something else. Fianlly the doc came in and then I went to c-section. Once he got in he told me that I would have never been able to have her natural. She had her head in a weird postion that he actually had to tug at her..LOL that was fun. C-section was not bad. I heald really well and recovery was great.. Only thing is that when I had the mag so long they had to watch her after words. She was having a little trouble breathing. But she is fine... She is healthy. Thats all that matters to me..

Yeah I am going to do online classes first. After she is about a year old then I will go to school for classes.. I was just woundering cause I may be moving to Bardstown soon..
