The Virtual Jazz Band was founded in 2005 by Producer and keyboard player Wayne Brown for the purpose of bringing together great musicians and singers of varying styles and influences, whose common ground is a love of jazz. Wayne has collaborated with a wide and diverse array of artists as both a writer and producer including Billy Ocean , Ruby Turner, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Winwood, Jonathon Butler, George Michael, Nareena Pallot, Junior Giscombe, Janet Kay, Lulu, Alishas Attic... and played with jazz greats such as Coleman Hawkins and Tal Farlow. Wayne also produced the critically acclaimed album commitment on EMI for Teish O’ Day, which lead to performances at the Burt Bacharach tribute in 2000 at the Royal Albert Hall. Wayne produced the official album to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Abolition of the slave trade, which brought together some of the great voices of black music, past and present. for more information visit www.myspace.com/achangeisgonnacome. Sometimes when i look around, all i see is misery, despair, frustration and pain...
Then, i close my eyes, take a couple deep breaths, RELAX...And ask myself, "WHAT IF all I saw was what I WANTED TO SEE?" Then, I open my eyes. I see the sun, I see the blue sky, I see my girls smiling back at me, I see life...
And then, lo and behold, I see nothing but OPPORTUNITY...

Thanks for reading. And if you enjoy these little sayings I send out, take a look at my site, http://TankJones.com and take a look at my blogs. You can also see a lot of pics of events I've done, music I've made and learn about my foundation.
So you chose Stevie and Herbie! Hell, this is what I calls the music! I believe very strong that heaven sends us some people with extraordinary talent for give us joy and happiness, don't you think so? Can you imagine musical world without such people? This is impossible.
You know, I was in one of Herbie Hancock concert and it was the most amazing musical experience in my life. His whole band was from another planet. And the first time I heared a drummer who PLAYED. He didn't hit but he just played, if you know what I mean.
And what do you think about classic piano masters like Count Basie or Erroll Garner? Well, I really regret I couldn't take a pic with you in Bucharest, hehe. There was so much hurry so that's why I missed you. Did you record any CD? Where can I buy it?

Dear Mr. Brown, thanks for the last nice message! Even such short sentence from you makes me happy, for real. I have a question - can you tell me, who is or who was your greatest musical inspiration? Do you have someone who influenced on your life-way choice? Have a wonderful Sunday. Please, give my regards also to your friend with who you were in Bucharest ;-) Take care, Marika
