The best damn garage band of academics you've ever heard!
Virtue Trap was formed in the fall of 2000 by four professors at Coastal Carolina University. Four years and four lineups later, the band still consists of Coastal Faculty and remains dedicated to playing distinctive rock covers and high-quality (if we do say so ourselves) original music. Somewhere along the way the gimmick of being a bunch of profs who happen to play music was replaced by the gimmick of being a bunch of guys who play music who happen to be profs.
I watched Spinal Tap's performance at Live Earth yesterday, and during "Big Bottom," they invited "every bass player in the known universe" on stage with them.
I looked and looked and looked, but I didn't see Jim ANYWHERE! What's up with that?
