| Band Members | I began radio disk jockeying in 1991 on KALX Radio, 90.7FM, Berkeley, California, and hosted "Roots Education", a show focused on reggae, hip-hop, and conscious international music, for 7 years. I gave out many a prized ticket to reggae concerts in the Bay and conducted interviews with artists. Through meeting DJs at the station, in 1994 I got into club/party DJing.
I have always promoted female artists more favorably since I believe we need to support each other in this music game. I dream of one day seeing 50% women musicians, producers, club owners, and artists in all genres, to reach true balance in the industry. The "top friends" on my page are women artists I truly believe in and support, many from the Bay Area where I lived for 15 years.
