Visionhead Vincent's CV reads like a Burroughs cut-up. He studied contemporary classical and electro-acoustic music at UEA with Denis Smalley, composition with Karlheinz Stockhausen, has played with the funk band Forehead, improvised with VHF and the Zapruda Trio played live hip-hop with Def Tex, has performed electroacoustic compositions and improvisations worldwide, played jazz with Art Farmer, toured his acoustic drum'n'bass trio with Kubryk Townsend and Russ Morgan, played more jazz with Pete Jacobson, worked with LTJ Bukem, djed with Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen, Rainer Trüby, composed for contemporary dance and London Fashion Week, given lectures on film theory and much more.
The ultimate 21st-Century Renaissance man, he continues to explore jazz, electroacoustic and abstract experimentalism in his solo live performances compositions with VINCENT SOLO, MAC 'N BASS, ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN and ZAPRUDA TRIO.
He is currently living in Berlin, where he is composing a new work for the Ensemble Sortisatio (Leipzig) and is lecturer in the Department of Europäische Medienwissenschaft, at the Fachhochschule Potsdam and Universität Potsdam.
