It has just been three years since established European guitar designers and construction engineers enthusiastically devoted their time to bring their idea of a young, dynamic and creative guitar brand to life. On board were the Swiss Bruno Bianchi – experienced in guitar building and designing – as well as the Frenchman Frank. Together with product managers and guitar specialists of GEWA the first pre-series models were developed.

Immediately the preferences of the team members became evident. High-quality material as well as consistent design is not only a standard requirement but also the leitmotif regarding the whole product range, reaching from the economy – Select-Series - at an extremely good price-performance-ratio, the professional featuring selected components up to the evolution-series.

The close relationship to EMG - the probably most well-known American manufacturer of pickups, had a hand in the surprisingly quality of the first models. The diligent handling of the serial production was one of the indispensable prerequisites. Constant monitoring of the factories in Far East guarantees the considerate treatment during pre-as well as during serial production of the VGS lines.

After lots of discussions, drafts and samples the expectation on VGS guitars became clear. Not only have VGS guitars to meet the current demands but they also should not give in to the short-lived zeitgeist. They have to offer clear design without forgoing innovative features and fashionable attributes and still maintain a distinctive iconography. Designing VGS, they stuck to the essential, but nevertheless the guitars surprise in the crucial moment with sophisticated and detailed solutions and ideas.

When experienced designers, freaks, maniacs or however one may call enthusiasts of this league are backed up by a team of international luthiers and manufacturers it becomes clear quickly to everyone that the visions of guitar building are lived and realized. VGS lives from the inspiration of its masterminds as well as from the people that make this brand what it is today: Lived:
