destined for stardom since day one, the atlanta native's determined spirit first materialized all before she'd turn a teenager. while performing in school plays and winning talent shows all around atlanta, she taught herself how to write songs at twelve. by the age of 18 keri was arranging songs, cutting vocals and engineering sessions.

while on her journey to making a name for herself as one of the strongest songwriters out there, keri eventually got introduced to timbaland. as soon as keri and timbaland met there was artistic chemistry. on march 24, 2009, keri's album in a perfect world… debuted at #1 on billboards r&b/hip hop chart and secured the #4 spot on billboard's top album chart. in a perfect world… represents a world where music is music and you can't put it in a box.

when you meet taylah p and kelci, the girls behind vistoso bosses, the first thing you notice is their style. but after that you'll notice that these best friends "from before birth" have the kind of confidence you'd never expect from a pair of 17-year-olds.

it's not a put-on. kelci and taylah are the first women to sign to collipark, having come to the attention of collipark boss mr. collipark through a friend. the girls already had not only their look and personalities, but their memorable first single "delirious." it got his attention right away. vistoso bosses bring a do-it-yourself spirit to their rising music career. they didn't meet at a casting call, and everything, from their style to their sound, belongs to them. "we knew you needed to have a name for people to take you seriously," explains taylah. out of a thousand names came "vistoso," a spanish word that means gorgeous, but suggests "something that catches your eye." perfect.

esmée is one of the first artists signed to justin timberlake's interscope imprint tennman records, but a mere two years ago. it may have been her youtube popularity that led timberlake to seek out esmée six months after her videos began to appear online, but it was her silky voice and songwriting talent that sold him on signing her to his label and producing majority of her debut album.

for esmée, getting the opportunity to work with a stable of top-flight talent was just another thrilling part of a journey that has been full of surreal moments - like stepping onstage for her first-ever live performance as the opening act for timberlake on the european leg of his futuresex/loveshow tour in june 2007. esmée denters is undoubtedly on her way to musical stardom, with her debut album filled with songs she co-wrote with a host of top-notch hit-making producers.

black buddafly's saga begins in hamburg, germany where the twin sisters amina and jazz were born to a german mother and a senegalese dad. when both girls were 6 years old respectively they began singing in church and school musicals. by the time the sisters hit junior high they were doing sessions in local studios and touring with gospel ensembles. in 1998 the sisters formed choyce a group consisting of their older sister sophie, jazz and amina. yet despite the achievements, the sisters felt something was missing. that something was the usa.

in 2002, choyce flew to new york city and secured a gig at the popular industry showcase joe's pub. there the girls met more producers and potential mangers all of whom were eager to sign them. in 2004 the trio signed with russell simmons music group, recorded an album and released two singles. when their album was continuously pushed back, black buddafly decided to leave def jam and continue on their own. black buddafly is now signed to mbk entertainment/j records and their sophomore album is planned to be released in the first quarter 2010.

born in new york as the fifth of ten children, music has been a part of jermaine's life since day one. at the tender age of 8, jermaine began singing in local churches and talent shows. by the age of 12, he learned to play the drums and taught himself how to play guitar. by 17, jermaine was signed to shaquille o'neal's twism records as a part of r&b group 1accord.

as the lead singer of 1accord, he performed on the booty call soundtrack, a movie starring jamie foxx and jada pinkett smith. he also wrote and produced for r&b group blackstreet and sang background vocals for numerous r&b artists with the likes of mary j. blige, brandy, and kelly price.

jermaine has established himself as a bonafide star, appearing on the hit single "diary" from the diary of alicia keys and "if this world were mine" on the luther vandross dedicated compilation so amazing: an all-star tribute to luther vandross.

jermaines solo debut single "air-o-plane" will be released in the summer of 2009 when he will also be embarking on a tour in the fall of 2009.

wale is a 24-year old rapper who rides for the "dmv" – dc, maryland and virginia – and who in turn enjoys support from the likes of jay-z, mark ronson, pharrell, the roots, bun b, and the clipse. the son of nigerian immigrants, wale cut his teeth in the unforgiving northwest district of dc. earning football scholarships to robert morris college and later virginia state university, the multi-talented wale made a go of higher education. but he knew where his heart lay; performing for, and ultimately winning over, increasingly larger audiences.

wale's viral contagiousness spread beyond the dmv with a series of mixtapes released in the last three years. he also appeared on the roots' single "rising up", and a remix of lily allen's bubbly pop record, "smile,". most recently he performed alongside mark ronson and a live go-go band at nyc's highline ballroom. having met every challenge, and exceeded every expectation, wale is poised as hip-hop's next innovator.

philadelphia born and bred, amanda was raised in a row house in germantown by artist ex-hippie parents. she quickly learned the value of individuality and the need for outspokenness. from her tastes in music (my bloody valentine, santigold, and the johnsons) to visual art (jayson musson, aubrey beardsley) to fashion (ny chorm), she gravitates from the sensual and shocking to the fun and absurdist.

amanda took the world by storm with her contribution to the track "bump" from spank rock's 2006 breakout album yoyoyoyoyo. she's just as at home collaborating with ghostface killah and m.i.a. as she is with britney spears on eli escobar and doug grayson's remix of the hit single "gimme more". her songs have appeared on the hbo series entourage as well as cbs csi:ny. blank signed to downtown records in 2007 and is releasing her debut, i love you, on july 14, 2009.

Milwaukee-raised Wallach and Boston native Drummey quickly found a lot of shared ground in musical tastes and philosophies and before long had recruited three other musicians into a band playing various campus functions, eventually moving in a direction heavily influenced by classic British Northern Soul. Over the summer both stayed in Cambridge, working hard at songwriting. But when school resumed, they realized that the material went way beyond the basic guitar-bass-drums-piano format of the band, and the duo continued the work themselves, Wallach handling most of the vocals, Drummey performing much of the music on an orchestra's-worth of instruments, supplemented with the occasional specialist guest.

The band has already been lauded by the press with features such as Spin's Who's Next '08 and Rolling Stone's Artists To Watch. And take it from no less than Pharrell Williams, who signed the unclassifiable duo to his Star Trak/Interscope label after hearing early copy of their album. "A lot of people make experimental music. We look at our music as not being experimental, but being the result of a variety of experiments…" Drummey says.

For three years, Rev Theory toured tirelessly -- opening for the likes of Evanescence, Papa Roach, Buck Cherry and Saliva – vending their humble independent wares to audience members who'd just worked up a good sweat and decent pulse rate. They stood outside venues before and after shows with CDs, stickers, flyers, and an endless energy to connect with their organically growing fan base. And when the back of the bus wasn't vibrating, these boys were writing songs. Really strong songs, the compost of Light it Up.

The back-story of a rock group isn't what catches your attention or keeps you engaged. A million bands and a million tales – some make it, some don't, most never get the chance – what matters is the music. What always matters is the music. The music and the ears upon which those tunes are falling, also known as the proud and loyal fan. Rev Theory is conscious of that reality because they are fans themselves. Recording and performing are scared trusts they collectively cherish. Light it Up passed through them from beyond the beyond.

mixing full-throttle rock with dollops of blue-eyed soul, vintage r&b and melodic pop radio anthems in-the-making, parachute has arrived. the band's debut mercury/island def jam music group album takes off from the individual members' shared histories, from "she is love," the ballad torch song and first single, with its van morrison-like scatting by lead singer/songwriter/guitarist and piano player will anderson, to nate mcfarland's chiming, the edge-styled chunks of guitar laced through "back again " "under control," "ghost," "words meet heartbeats" and "all that i am."

the band prides itself on its live show, having toured with the likes of jon mclaughlin, o.a.r., switchfoot, duffy and matt nathanson. parachute's fan base is starting to swell on their facebook and myspace pages, while the distance they've traveled, how far they've come and still have to go, is beginning to register. make no mistake about it. parachute is headed for a happy landing.
