Piano, organ and keyboard player and composer. Selflearned. Starts to play the fisarmonica for fun when 6 years old. At 9 he studies violin for 1 year, at 11 the
piano for a year. But is the Hammond organ he starts playing at 12, carrying it
to clubs and playing covers and rock music.At the same time he gets a diploma
in solfeggio and musical theory(1975) and dedicates three years to studying composition. Starts his professional career as organist in the group of Rocky
Roberts in 1971. During the '70 he meets Toni Esposito and records composes
and arranges part of the Albums "Gente Distratta" and "La Banda del Sole". He
also begins a period of collaboration with Edoardo Bennato, doing tours and the albums:Burattino senza fili","Uffa' Uffa'", "Sono Solo Canzonette", "E' arrivato
un bastimento". At the beginning of the 80s he collaborates with Pino Daniele
touring and recording the albums: "Pino Daniele" "Nero a meta'" & "Ferry Boat".
He also plays with Eugenio Finardi&Crisalide, touring and recording the albums:
"Blitz" "Roccando & Rollando". He continues recording with Andrea Mingardi in
the album "Canto per te". With spanish singer Lorca: CD "Lorca"and a cd with
the spanish rockgroup "Malanga".Alex Montana & Sautiva: CD "Vertigini". With
Avitabile he records the album "Avitabile", Eugenio Bennato & Musica Nova:
"Festa Festa" "Canzone per Juzzella" "Don Chisciotte". Teresa De Sio: all tours
and all her discography up until "Ombre Rosse". For Teresa he composed and
arranged part of the albums "Sindarella Suite" and "Toledo & Regina". In the
latter one having the honor and the pleasure of working with the great
composer and director Paul Buckmaster. He also plays with Vasco Rossi: cd's
"Bollicine" "Che cosa succede in citta'" "Gli Spari Sopra". Eduardo De Crescenzo:
tours and the cd: "C'e' il sole" "Cantejondo" "Danza Danza" "Eduardo De
Crescenzo live" "La vita e' un'altra". For Eduardo, Ernesto has written and
arranged two songs: "Canzone Nuova" and "No Missing". Renato Zero: album
"Ero Zero". Always with Renato Zero, in the month of November 2004,he plays
live at the Eliseo theatre in Rome for the presentation of new cd "Catturami".

2000. Giacomo Bondi: cd "Latin Vibes". Also collaborated with the film maker
Mattia Lauro to realize music for documentary x television programs like
"Alle falde del Kilimangiaro" and Geo & Geo. With the Edoardo Bennato and
Alex Britti Tour 2006. In the year 1992 he records for BMG Rca his first cd as
leader: "Piano & Bit"produced by Salvatore Frustaci, that sees the participation
of several extraordinary musical hosts (50) among which the great Toots
Thielemans and Mike Stern emerge. In 2006 he records for the Hullabaloo label
his second CD: "Vintage Hands" coproduced with Musicisti Associati and Max
De Virgiliis. Currently he is playing with his "Mediterranean JazzRock4tet" and is
also working on a duo cover project: "Hammond Duo" with vocalist Anna Gaia
Mariella and Monica Pujia and to "BEAT HOST PROJECT" VitMen'Bas Millenium
mood by the drummer Agostino Mennella. Recently has collaborated to the
recordind of the new ones cd of: the singers Antonino, Monica Pujia, Rino de
Maria, Ania, Marta Gerbi, Lello Brandi ('70s-'80s Osanna player)the attrice-singer
Serena Rossi, the "very original italian singer" Mango on the album
"L' acchiappanuvole" to the big event of the year 2008 "Ricomincio da trenta"
last plan of Pino Daniele, and the new album of the Avion Travel. Also erny has
played in to the project Reggae 4 Shashamene for Ethiopia produced by Elio Fioretti
and in the album of the new artist from XFactor Yuri
