Vitreous was formed in 2006. Starting with Justin Lavin, George and Matt Stark. They started out just jamming and playing covers. Eventually in the summer of 2007 the band decided to start writing original music. Over the next few months they went through a series of singers and drummers. Finally in January the final line up was set. George at Lead Vocals, Matt Stark at Bass Justin Lavin at Lead Guitar and Ian Murray at Drums. But our roles have changed yet again, Matt is now back at rythym guitar.
Vitreous has a wide range of influences ranging from punk and death metal, to alternative and classic rock. Taking cues from each of these genres and make it their own to create a new sound. With a mix of all our musical influences the music is something truly unique to DC’s music scene. Vitreous is looking to making an impact in the DC music scene.
