Viva La Luna is the local music show on the rock of Portland, KUFO. Tune in Sunday nights @ 9pm with your host Crystal Kash for the best of the Northwest. 101.1FM on the dial and streaming live at www.kufo.com.
Submit your club calendar listings to localshow@kufo.com
Want to submit your band? Here are a few guidelines from Crystal for submitting music:
*As excited as you are about your band, don't send your music in until it's ready. "Ready" meaning vocals and instruments are in key (you'd be surprised how many aren't) and the tracks are produced and fit for radio play. That doesn't mean you have to spend a ton of money, there are many avenues for great recordings. Remember, you only get once chance at a first impression.
*Include a CD, a bio, one page is fine, just enough so that we know a little more about you. NO MP3s via email, CDs only.
*Include a track listing and indicate any tracks that have swearing (the FCC hates swearing). You may also want to point out which tracks you feel are your strongest.
DO NOT SEND MP3s. It crashes my email and will not make it to the airwaves that way. I need the CD.
Feel free to email Crystal at localshow@kufo.com with any questions, she's always happy to help.

Obscured By Clouds at The Whisky a Go-Go Los Angeles AUG 28th! As heard on Viva La Luna thanks to Lisa Wood!!!
“Floyd devotees set the controls for arty grunge. ...Although obviously conversant in UK 70’s prog, Portland’s William Weikart also knows his way round a doomy riff and a grunge melody.
Switching from the sedated bad-dream drone of Zoe Zolofft to the lofty bombast of Cast Close the Gate, contemporary touchstones are Type O Negative and Mastodon’s artier moments. …When they stick to the more straight forward heavy psychedelia however, the results are exceptional and impressive.”
