About me:
Vivante Midwifery offers natural childbirth and home birth services in the Portland, Oregon metro area, including prenatal care, attendance during labor and birth (including water birth), postpartum care for mother and baby for up to six weeks after the birth, and well-woman gynecology care. Our midwife team is a unique combination of Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) and a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), and we are covered by most insurance providers.

Our Philosophy

  • Birth is a normal event in the life of a woman and does not need to be over-medicalized.
  • Low-risk women with healthy pregnancies can have a natural childbirth in their own home under the care of qualified midwives, with no more risk than if they were in a hospital, and with fewer interventions.
  • The mother shares responsibility in her own health care decisions and those of her baby.

    We serve women with low-risk healthy pregnancies and offer the following services:

  • Prenatal care
  • Homebirth services, including waterbirth
  • Postpartum care for mother and baby for up to six weeks after the birth
  • Well-woman gynecological services

    You guys are absolutely amazing and we want to thank you for being a part of our little mans life and bringing him into the world.
