Vive le Rock was conceived by Gosta Berling to showcase the best of indie music from the Bay Area and beyond, as well as to provide an outlet for talented filmmakers to screen their work. So far the series has included musical performances by Gosta Berling, The French Semester (from Los Angeles, on Beyond Your Mind Records), Man Versus (from San Jose), The Future Canadians (San Francisco), The Lag (San Francisco), and The Sleepover Disaster (Fresno). We presented films from East Bay film makers Allan Dorr, Shad Clark, Mark Arellano and San Francisco film maker Waylon Bacon.
