VIVIANE is one of the most charismatic voices of Portuguese music: a singular attitude and an involving, versatile and unmistakable register designate a career consolidated by a seventeen-year experience of songs and punctuated by an enormous simplicity and an absolute surrender to this "bigger art" that is music.

Being born in Nice (France), the singer comes to Portugal with thirteen years of age and, in 1990, initiates her musical career by forming, together with Tó Viegas, the pop/rock band ENTRE ASPAS, who released five albums on BMG ARIOLA.

An incessant and prolific creativity that also contemplates the participation in diverse compilations; the creation, in 2001, of the collective project LINHA DA FRENTE (musicians of various Portuguese bands that, together, created a set of original songs based upon Portuguese poetry), whose debut album was released in 2002 by UNIVERSAL MUSIC; the creation, in 2003, of their own label ZIPMIX RECORDS, where was released "O Sul", the debut album of pop/electronic project CAMALEÃO AZUL, that the artist also created in partnership with Tó Viegas.

In 2005, after the dissolution of the band ENTRE ASPAS, she starts her solo career with the album “Amores Imperfeitos” (“Imperfect Loves”), co-produced with Tó Viegas and recorded in her own ZIPMIX studios, in the Algarve. This album represents a turning point in the singer’s career and treads a new way in her search for new sounds in acoustic format.

Viviane returns now in 2007 with a new acoustic work, simply entitled “Viviane”. It’s a set of eleven songs where she firms an enriching dialectics between the universal languages of Fado and Tango - the accordion and the portuguese guitar as dominant notes - lulled by a musette fragrance, inspired in her adolescent memories.

This work discloses, above all, the thirst for adventure that Viviane has developed for other musical universes, in the way that she explores her vocal capacities and manages to go further beyond in the search of other sounds.

Songs as “Meu Coração Abandonado” (“My Abandoned Heart”) - single of presentation - “Estes Dias Sem Ti” (“These Days Without You”), “Só o Sol” (“Only the Sun”) and “Em Paris” (“In Paris”), send us to an imaginary of histories and experiences, in a picture composed with urban landscapes that ramble between Portugal, France and Argentina. Because, as the artist reveals, “in music there are no borders”.

Eleven melodies that in Fado look for the depth of the soul and the feeling, without the bond of fatality, as in Tango they discover a more humorous and irreverent side. Songs of love and lovelessness, lyrics that talk about new meetings with hope and with moments and places where we were happy. Words that stir us up to love life and look for happiness in the smallest things.
