    Yeah, I'll watch it if I'm bored. There is some good TV. At this moment, I'm absolutely in love with Flight of the Conchords. They kind of remind me of a modern day version of The Monkees... which I absolutely adored as a kid. They both make me laugh and their songs always get stuck in my head. Besides that, Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, House, Law and Order (all 3), Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.

WHAT IS VIVIDHUES MAGAZINE (A.K.A VHMAGAZINE OR VHM) ALL ABOUT ANYWAY?

VHMagazine is a magazine about global hip and creative culture. It's about real people, like you and me. It's about art and photography. It's about good fiction and interesting stories. It's about fashion, like tattoos, piercing's, hairstyles, clothes, and the like. It's about what people spend their time doing, whether it be surfing, promoting bands, playing in a band, drawing, painting, taking pictures, thinking strange ideas, having, fun, and most of all just sharing your experiences with others out there who are a lot like you perhaps.

I got tired of hearing about Russel Crowe, Julia Roberts, the Olsen twins, and Michael Jackson. Isn't there better news? Aren't there better stories and things to think about and look at? Everyone has something about them that's unique and interesting. I'd rather hear about that and them. I think most people would but mainstream media would never allow you to believe that.

VHMagazine is currently a digital magazine that is utilizing the best ebook publishing practices used by large consumer publishers. We're a small magazine made up of an all volunteer staff. That's right, we don't get paid or make money to produce this magazine. Why do it? Because it's one of the few collaborative things in life that's win-win. We like to publish artists and artists need someone who will publish their work. Everyone needs an audience and we provide that, while providing leading edge content; writing, photos, art, stories, people, and more. If you feel you have the talent and you've produced some work you can show us... then you're who were looking for.

WHY DID VHM CHOOSE TO ADD ME?

I added you because I thought you were cool. I don't add anyone at random. I bothered to read your profile and look at your photos and decided that you were special. Yeah, that's right. I thought you were f* special. I dug something about you. You were creative and interesting, for sure. I'm always looking for people who would make great magazine contributors because their writing is inspiring, their art captivating, their music memorable, and their faces were truly individual! I chat everyone up, so you can message me anytime. I'll reply at some point. I sometimes get a little swamped and fall behind.

IS THIS MAGAZINE REALLY FREE? IS EVERYONE REALLY A VOLUNTEER?

Yes. You bet. We don't charge a dime for our issues and no one gets paid for participating. It's all volunteer. We all do it for the love of doing what we do best. Everyone benefits through exposure! Plus... since this is essentially a non-profit effort... You can always feel free to donate time or money. I'm ok with that. It's all being poured right into the magazine and contributors anyhow. It's just that creating a 501c3 is pricey. I do much of the work myself.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE INFORMATION I PROVIDE YOU?

We don't share your information with anyone and we wont ever contact you regarding non VividHues or VHMagazine related information. We respect your privacy completely. Telemarketers wont call you! We hate them as much as you do. (I'm sorry if that's what you do for a living... but I'm sure it's no fun.)

  • Photographers - We only publish photography that's your own. We'll consider whatever you like to photograph!
  • Musicians - All genres. We promote bands and individual performers.
  • Crazy People - We love crazy people. Tell us what crazy adventures you had in a story and provide photos!
  • Creative People! (Cooks, surfers, craftsmen, skateboarders, mountain climbers, yoga instructors, clothing designers, dancers, whatever!... bring it!)

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY STUFF FOR PUBLISHING?

Don't send me links on MySpace and expect me to have the time to dig through stuff to find what I think you want to publish. That's just crazy. If you want to be published, you need to submit your work for consideration. It's the old fashioned professional way. It helps distinguish people who are genuinely interested and have passion from the rest of the pack. Yes, we review all submissions, then send out acceptance letters and release forms, then we publish. We do everything by the book and anticipate to be picked up by places like Newstand Reader at some point down the line. In order to have it maintain and grow its reputation as a serious magazine... this is the way to go. The content will not change. READ MY BLOG! IT HAS ALL OF THE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE!

WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU DO FOR THE MAGAZINE?

I publish this magazine. It was my idea and my initial effort. I work with a lot of talented people though. FYI... I have a sense of humor and will often change my "personal status, age, and zodiac sign" for fun. If you see something crazy, like swinger, posted... hopefully you know I'm kidding. If not... oh bruddah! You need to lighten up. I always say f* people who cant take a joke!

Who I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people interested in being published for their talent. You might wonder what kind of talent were looking for. Since we are a magazine that showcases real people, we're looking for the creativity you have to offer. We publish more common forms, like writers, artists, photographers, and models. We also publish stories from promoters, cooks, small business owners, athletes, surfers, musicians, lawers, politicians, web developers, flash designers, film makers, and more. We're always working on a variety of "other" creative projects as well. This Summer I'll be spending my time working on a film. I'll be casting for actors and crew. I want to meet you if you think any off what I'm talking about is remotely interesting. I like motivated people who are serious about their their craft. We do get a lot of submissions, so please be patient. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- also... my age, relationship status, and zodiac sign change on this site frequently for the heck of it. I'm just goofing around. If you don't know the answer to those questions... then I don't know why you would need to.
