“Oozes soul and blues, earthy and melodic” – Fife Free Press
Founder of the 'Acoustic Music in Fife' website, which consolidates activities in venues around Fife, Vivienne, originally from Lanarkshire, is firmly entrenched in the Fife acoustic music scene. Despite initially being put in the Folk/Jazz corner, Vivienne easily branches out into other genres. Her sound oozes soul and blues and can easily handle songs like John Prine's 'Killing the Blues' and Norah Jones 'In the Morning'.
Vivienne says she is happiest when playing an intimate set where she can engage with her audience and play songs that have been described as 'haunting', 'soulful' or her favourite quote from one listener and fellow Fife musician "ye could make a grown man cry".
Vivienne has at last put pen to paper and is writing her own material, including the soulful 'Fly By Night', and 'I Need to Sleep'. 'This Town' with its three part harmony, which was inspired by her new hometown, and also her latest song 'Forgive You' recorded live.
She can often be seen and heard at various venues in the area. She delivers beautifully crafted songs with soaring vocals and deft guitar work.
Hi Vivienne, Thanks for stopping by my page. I see you're playing on Mary Burke's show? Hope you enjoy it. She's great fun. All the best with your music, Erin
Hey Vivienne! Thanks so much for coming along, it was great to hear you play. Everyone raved about how good you were esp. my Mum and friend. Mum said she was sorry she didn't get a chance to speak to you to tell you. You are total class without a doubt. Hmm, i must have been off purring in a corner! I'll try and get myself along to some music nights again. Maybe try for the Stags head in Dec. Anyways, hopefully see you soon and thanks again! Sx

Four more little sonic gems for your August pleasure are now available on the site. Blitzen Trapper, Boulder Acoustic Society, Jay Brannan and The Wiyos. Yet another fine quartet even though we say so ourselves as picked them out.
Vivienne, In your quiet way your songs are lovely as well. As good as anyone on the night and the mixture on the night makes it! Have a good time at Edinburgh--Roy
