In 2000, Stonehenge was opened up to the public for the solstice after 15 years of being closed and riots taking place every summer over the issue of access - this represented a big step of trust on the part of the community to keep the peace and on the part of English Heritage whose hand had been forced by the European Court Of Human rights
This Documentary was produced by Channel 4 and featured the work of the Peace Stewards that year of which I was one.
We had no idea how it was going to work out given the history of the troubles.
