I've been VJ'ing in clubs and venues for several years now and during this time i have worked on a wide variety events across the UK, although i can be more often found in a club environment. I have worked with many styles of music but tend to focus more heavily on electronic music and DJ's, with a lot of my current work being in the breakbeat scene.
I'd describe my visuals as "beat synched mash up" - i focus on interacting with the music, often mimicing the mixing technique used by the DJ, by triggering, controlling and mixing the graphics in accordance to the music and any changes or developments within it.
I see my position as a VJ not as the main part of the event, but as a complinentary element working with the music to create an enhanced environment together, and not to distract from the musical artist.

I have spent most of hospital in summer which has been rubbish but i am well on the mend now and should be fully discharged in a couple of weeks all being well x

I have a cd player that Ive managed to get hooked up via the mixer to simplecast (listening to sting & the police at the mo WAYHAY!! haha, loving this!! shit am a proper 80s freak :-S haha! anyhoo, should be ok, but it would be loads easier to just play an mp3 instead of scuttering around with cds :0)

aye, the day is going really well so far!! made a mad dash up to the mixer fixerer in taunton at lunchtime, so should have that home in a few days. some new wax arrived today compliments of mr martin audio, so going home to drop some of that in a bit. got lots of work done promoting our new KPIs in Scotland HURRAH I did real work!! :proud: haha!
AND the massively talented and supercool fifties has also accept my offer of payment of squirrels and biscuits to design a nice ad for SugaThomp! if she has time which is cool as fuck!
