About me:

I make experimental/artsy/VJ mashup videos for musicians. They are great for promotional use and for adding a video element to promotional tracks. I have a strong background, ten plus years, in small scale commercial video production which has evolved into experimental video activities as well. Also for the last few years exciting live VJ shows, including main stages and DJ domes at festivals and night clubs. Some of the more recent artists I have performed with include Sleepyhead, Mimosa, Bluetech, Welder, Shen, Illoom, Djunya, Ill.gates, Kitty D, Random Rab, Sub addiction, The David Nelsen Band, Izabella,Boreta, An-ten-ae, Selector Science, Kraddy, EPROM, Siren, Mosaic and Vibesquad to name a few. .. .... .. Stylistically I like to be heavy on distortion effects and I'm always adding new social iconography to my sets. Whether that be a video that has gone viral on the internet, historical footage, a recording of somebodies gaming session, a random home video I found interesting, or remixes of movies done by devoted fans. I am also always adding more abstract video art like pre-rendered 3d loops and fractally animations like electric sheep too. However in the end it's what I do with the images live that set me apart as a VJ. I have performed with a lot of DJ's in different styles of house, breaks and a little trance. My style has evolved to reflect the glitchy-ness and IDM style improvisation of the west coast Dubstep genre and I am always striving to further and more accurately match the Real Time event aspects of the Audio performers with the live manipulations of my video performances. I have performed and enjoy performing to many different types of music and I have evolved performance methods and images for most of them. Currently I am in the midst of producing several promotional music videos which brings me full circle back to conceptualized video art which was what led me into VJ-ing to begin with when I wanted to make my video art real time.
