Vladislav Delay, Uusitalo, Luomo, Conoco, Sistol. Under a raft of different names this Berlin-based Finnish artist (born 1976 Sasu Ripatti) has experimented with ambient, broken beat, glitch as well as grooves and house music with soulful vocals. In addition he has collaborated with and worked for a wide range of artists ranging from Scissor Sisters and Craig Armstrong to AGF, Black Dice, Massive Attack, Towa Tei and Ryuichi Sakamoto. While his side-projects and remixes are there to flirt with more stable rhythms and dancefloor institutions, his main love as well as his background is in experimenting with different kind of sounds and rhythms; a quest to find some music not heard yet. Svarte Greiner (Deaf Center/Miasmah/Type) explores deep into a dark, mysterious and disturbing universe. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Earth, Volcano the Bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the music is draped in Lynchian mysticism and horror film cinematics. The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri/Miasmah/Immune) draws as much on modern genre progenitors like Brian Eno, Robin Guthrie and My Bloody Valentine as it does from the more historic traditions in neo-classicism from Erik Satie and Olivier Messiaen. His album Glider has appeared on Thom Yorke's radar in making the Radiohead's lynchpin's top ten playlist.
His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon Scott (former Slowdive) is set to be a household name in conceptual music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise, producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.

In experimentelleren und Mainstreamclips wurde die westliche Seite als bemalte Kulisse oder düsteres Symbol für/Manifest von Teilung und Kaltem Krieg eingesetzt. Von der Ostseite dagegen war der "antifaschistische Schutzwall" so gut wie unsichtbar. Mit Öffnung und später Abbau der Mauer tritt sie in Clips auf als Sinnbild für Aufbruch, Grenzüberschreitung und neuen Möglichkeiten. Berliner wie internationale Interpreten agierten und agieren an Mauer und im heutigen post-Grenze Stadtraum. Eine popkulturelle Zeitreise mit Die Tödliche Doris, Rio Reiser, Depeche Mode, Silly, Günther Fischer, U2, Jesus Jones, Fler, Ich+Ich u.a.
