HMMMM... What's happening this week on my soaps?
Anything exciting on YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, GENERAL HOSPITAL, AS THE WORLD TURNS, or ONE LIFE TO LIVE?
About me: I will forever be an eternal optimist.. not sure yet if that is a good thing or a bad thing! LOL
I try to be an easy going guy.
I spend a lot of time in front of the TV.. too much probably LOL
One of my favorite things to do is cuddle up with Bryan on the couch and watch a good movie or TV show.
I'm not just a couch potato though..
I love the outdoors, love to go camping, love to swim and really enjoy going to the gym for a good workout.
Another passion of mine is travel and hopefully Bryan & I will be able to do more of it soon as soon as we have more time!
And I am hoping to make a career out of another passion of mine... I am now a student at University of Phoenix working towards an Associate Degree in Psychology.
I'm not into the clubbing scene anymore.. in fact i prefer to stay away from the gay bars all together cuz it is just the same bullshit there every night and I feel that most of the stuff that goes on there is what is giving the gay community a bad name in our society.
Bryan & I are more than happy spending our evenings at home together.. cooking dinner, drinking good wine and just enjoying each other's company.
I've never been so happy in my entire life.. it is a great feeling!
One of the reasons I feel so happy and blessed is because Bryan & I got married July 11th, 2008 at San Francisco City Hall!
We bought a house this past November and we love it!
And in December we rescued two dogs... a german shepherd named Lily and a Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix named Charley (though their full names are Lilith and Charles)!
Then, this past February we broke down and took pity on another dog up for adoption from the Humane Society that we came across at Petco... They called him TenderHeart, which was fitting, but we renamed him Gus (though his full name is Agustus)!
Things couldn't be better for us right now!
SOME OF MY FAVORITE QUOTES:
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us" --Ralph Waldo Emerson
"The future is unlimited, inevitable and nonexistent. Sometimes our hearts get broken.. But only after we have some of the best times of our lives" --Marisa Holz
"They say that love is in the air.. But never is it clear how to pull it close and make it stay." --Sheryl Crow
"Money and beauty are defenses against the sorrows of this world, but neither can undo the past. Only time will conquer time. The way forward is the only way back to innocence and peace." --A passage from Dean Koontz's novel BROTHER ODD
"Christianity: The belief that some cosmic Jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. Makes perfect sense!" -- Unkown
"We must know the pain of loss; because if we never knew it, we would have no compassion for others, and we would become monsters of self-regard, creatures of unalloyed self-interest. The terrible pain of losses teaches humility to our prideful kind, has the power to soften uncaring hearts, to make a better person of a good one. " -- A passage from Dean Koontz's novel THE DARKEST EVENING OF THE YEAR
"Dogs' lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you're going to lose a dog, and there's going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with them, never fail to share their joy or delight in their innocence, because you can't support the illusion that a dog will be your lifelong companion. There's such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price. Maybe loving dogs is a way we do penance for all the other illusions we allow ourselves and for the mistakes we make because of those illusions." -Another passage from Dean Koontz's novel THE DARKEST EVENING OF THE YEAR
