During the Spring of 2003, in what was then a small shop called Dick Johnson's Music Center on Pleasant Street in Brockton, Massachusetts, VMF came to life from a common passion of music and love of performing. The band worked diligently on writing new, modern material with a funky twist for several months before debuting as the Goods in a favorite college dance spot in Bridgewater, MA known as Our Place.
The intials VMF derived during a rehearsal shortly after the band's debut while discussing a unique and flexible permanent name for the band. The initials were introduced without definition, just as VMF's music cannot be categorized into one specific genre. The name of the band is VMF.
The Rock 'n Roll, Funk 'n Soul band known as VMF is a band you want to see live. So, come on down to the next show!
