It's hardly a secret that music industry people are obsessed with labels. It's their priority to neatly classify all types of music & put it in little organized folders somewhere on a musical shelf. New York's V'nessa Tzavellas is an artist who would drive these label-crazed people up the wall. The Queens native is developing a reputation as one of the East Coast's most interesting performers by offering something new & more innovative to today's brand of popular music.
Tzavellas' Greek father & Nuyorican mother created an unlikely, diverse & wonderfully chaotic musical environment that sparked a lifelong passion & gift for writing original music..and the journey to her sound that is best described as a vibrant form of urban rock. The union of her clever song-writing and soulful voice created an eclectic collection of 6 catchy tunes on her EP, "Beautiful Things". Tzavellas is doing something that is both ambitious and wildly intriguing as she records her upcoming LP. Intent on getting her original genre-bending music heard by the masses, it now seems likely that listeners will spend more time enjoying it than trying to label it.
