.. Biography:
Vobiscum was formed in May 1997 in lower Austria. After the loss of some members the remaining four man band released their first Album "Traum ewiger Finsternis" at the end of 1998. Unfortunately in autumn of 1999 Vobiscum reached a crossroads and a split-up happened. Only Count Grimthorn, the last founding member, decided to go on with the band. Soon he found a new member and from that time on Gra Inimicus became the vocalist of Vobiscum and Count Grimthorn played all instruments. As a duet they released the CD "Christenblut" at the beginning of 2004. Count Grimthorn has known the guitarist Morturom from some other projects and after the Count had written some new material he invited Morturom in 2005 to join Vobiscum. Morturom also created some material and afterwards the Album "Berchfrit" had been recorded from the end of 2005 till the middle of 2007 in many different sessions and on many different locations: The vocals in an old ruin, guitars and bass in Vienna, additional bass in a house near the woods and the drums had been recorded with Blastphemer in the Hell Lab Studios, where this piece of Primordial Old School Black Metal also had been mixed and mastered by TT from Abigor.
The heart of nowadays Vobiscum is somewhere between upper Austria, lower Austria and Vienna, the roots and future of the band is True Austrian Black Metal.
