The Vocal Beat is a monthly show on the CKUA Radio Network, based in Alberta, Canada, but broadcasting on the internet to anywhere you can find a computer!
A musical gathering place for anyone who loves the human voice, The Vocal Beat is a 100% a cappella radio show, playing any range of styles. Where else would you hear all-vocal versions of songs like Crazy Train or the theme from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon? You never know what's coming next.
The show also tries to promote local a cappella talent an performances, to help strengthen the vibrant a cappella scene in Alberta.
Check back often for updates, blog posts, links to a cappella groups from around the world, and a chance to get in touch with other people that love vocal music as much as you do.
The Vocal Beat can be heard on the third Thursday of each month on the CKUA Radio Network at 6pm mountain time/8pm EST. The show also rebroadcasts the following Monday at 5am mountain/7am EST.

Erica Gayler is an a cappella singer with a lifetime of choral experience, seven years with an a cappella/vocal jazz group, and an unending supply of love and excitement for the vocal arts. She doesn't look anything like she sounds on the radio, but she'd love to talk to you about a cappella music, or music in general, so get in touch!
