Vocare is a weekend for young adults, which is run by young adults! The name Vocare is a Latin word meaning, “to call”.
The weekend was designed to give you time for self-reflection and the opportunity to discern God’s calling to service in your life. The main aspects of the weekend are the “talks” given by the young adult team members. These talks will help to open your heart, encourage you to hear God’s will for your life, and then teach you how to answer His call. The rest of the weekend consists of small group discussions, games, praise time, prayer, and fun!
“Discover God's plan! Fish for greatness!” is the theme for Vocare International. Many times as young adults, we find ourselves searching, or "fishing", for our life's purpose but don't know where to find it. This weekend will help you to identify some of these feelings, discover your strengths, and use them to "catch" the plan that God has for your life.
Any person between the ages of 19 and 35 can attend this amazing weekend.

Every year an active Vocare community hosts a conference open to anyone interested in gaining more information about the Vocare ministry. At this conference, people share their own Vocare experiences. Through this open community, suggestions are made to better the ministry as well as others sharing struggles they may be having in their own Diocese. This is a great opportunity to become an active part of a larger community. Vocare is established internationally and many people travel long distances to be a part of this amazing conference. For some, this is their first time to experience and learn what the ministry is all about so that they can return home and begin their own Vocare ministry. If you live somewhere that does not currently have a Vocare, please join us at this conference to learn more. You can be a part of this amazing ministry in your own town!

The total registration fee is $50.00, which includes all meals and lodging for the weekend.

What time should I arrive? What time does the weekend end?
All participants attending Vocare make a commitment to arrive at 5pm on Friday, November 7th and to remain within the community for the entire weekend (usually until 2pm on Sunday). This ensures that they have the opportunity to experience everything Vocare has to offer.
What should I bring with me?
Casual clothes for each day, toiletries, shampoo, towel, pillow case, and twin sized bed sheets/sleeping bag. Note: Shower shoes and sneakers are suggested.
