Michael Vochezer, born 1975 in Germany, is an active performer and composer since the mid 90's. Mostly self-taught, he decided to attend Berklee College of Music to study jazz guitar and improvisation with jazz greats such as Mick Goodrick, Joe Lovano, Hal Crook and Ed Tomassi, as well as Jazz Composition and Arrangement for small and large ensembles with Ted Pease, Greg Hopkins, Ken Pullig, Scott Free, Matthew Nicholl, Donny Nolan and Dick Lowell. Michael graduated in December 2004 with a diploma in performance and jazz composition (summa cum laude). He moved back to Munich, Germany in December 2005 and works with a variety of projects in various styles from Pop, Funk & Soul and Jazz as a guitarist, composer and arranger as well as a music teacher.
"He is always looking to explore new areas of music to help add to his own musical ideas."
Richie Hart (Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ron Carter, Freddie Hubbard)
"Michael is a very intelligent, talented and hard working individual."
Mick Goodrick
"He showed both a creative imagination and a strong potential for becoming an excellent composer/arranger."
Ken Pullig (Chair, Jazz Composition Department, Berklee College of Music)
