A lot of people ask me 'what is Back to Zero about? To me, Back to Zero is more of a philosophy, not so much a song. In short, the song is about ending something that is negative, leaving it behind, and starting something new that is positive. I was inspired to write Back to Zero because of the current condition of our world, our country, our existence. The world is full of too many negative things, and it's beginning to take its toll on every day people, and our beautiful planet. There is too much despair, depression, anxiety, stress, disease, hunger, crime, debt (and so on), in the world. And you don't have to travel around the world to see this. All you have to do is walk down the street and look at people's faces, notice how over weight people have become, or just look in the mirror at your own reflection to realize all of this. And worst of all, all of this is destroying us. We need to reanalyze and go back to zero. Learn from our mistakes, our failures, our successes, and begin creating a better world to live in. What is zero? Zero is helping each other. Zero is happiness. Zero is stress free. Zero is enlightenment. Zero puts a smile on your face. Zero makes your heart beat again. Zero is feeling love again. Zero is the ability to feel again. Zero is a world that is changed for the better. Zero is clean drinking water. Zero is food in everyone's mouth, regardless of wealth or class. Zero is medicine for everyone, everywhere. Zero is starting again. Zero is ……………. What zero means is truly infinite because it's different for every living soul.
