Along the way, please keep those along the Texas coast who are recovering from the devastating Hurricane Ike in your thoughts and prayers. My family and I made it though OK, but many in our community are still without power, running water, and have lost or damaged property. In some places where there used to be thriving homes and businesses, there is nothing left – not even debris. Other places are still unsafe because of health hazards, flooding, and unstable structures. People are starting to get sick from contaminated water, while still others are being victimized by looters.

So summer is slowly coming to an end. I have a huge project - a jazz CD which will be recorded in Paris this fall and another original album that I am working on just me and Steinway and my little red bird. Thanks so much for connecting. My space has changed me profoundly as I sense every day that we are more deeply connected than we can imagine - or perhaps we should imagine it more, and start relaxing. The world is a place full of hope and wonder.
