When I do get a chance to sit down and, watch a lil' T.V., I love all the cop shows, CSI Miami, Law&Order and E.R...I'm kind of a gameshow fan also...'Wheel of Fortune' can get my attention, anytime!![wink]

Whew, I'm so busy writing my own books and/or doing other projects, I rarely find the time curl up to a good book, but when I do, my favorite authors are...Iyanla Vanzant 'In The Meantime','The Harris Men' by RM Johnson, 'Good People' by Marcus Major, 'A Do Right Man' by Omar Tyree, 'Divided Soul The Marvin Gaye story' by David Ritz,'Disappearing Acts' by Terry McMillan,'Addicted' by Zane, 'The Coldest Winter Ever' Sister Souljah, 'Men Cry In The Dark' Michael Baisden, 'The Bluest Eye' Toni Morrison, 'Love Poems' by Nikki Giovanni, 'God Don't Like Ugly' Mary Monroe, 'Something Wrong w/ Your Scale' Van Whitfeild and just about everything written by Donald Goines. That's all I can remember!
About me: The past seven years Jill has worked as assistant head writer for a local comedy/video show 'Switchplaytv', making her mark into the world of sketch comedy writing.
Her writing credits also include freelance work for ‘The Promoter, Connect with Detroit, Entrepreneurs of Detroit’ and, JADORE magazine. Interviews include Aku Kadogo [guest Director for 'Colored Girls who Considered Suicide when the Rainbow is Enough'], Russ Parr & Olivia Fox, Juelez Santana, Cee-lo, Ghostface Killah, E-Dub, Kulayd, model Ice Cold Champagne and, Detroit's news anchor Rhonda Walker.
Among many other projects, Jill is a featured poet on Detroit's own Doc Chill up and coming second release remix cd 'Something The Lord Made'.
A jack-of-all-trades, Jill's visionary eye has forwarded her creative mind into set decorating, wardrobe directing and, stage management for live shows.
But, Jill's true passion unfolded as a writer when she wrote a bio screenplay for local artist Kulayd, entitled 'Save Me'. Inspired by issues that deeply touch our lives, her debut novel 'Mensoul’s' and, a theatrical play she's currently working on with Detroit producer, Melissa Underwood, places Jill in a whole other genre of writing among her colleagues.
Jill’s motto is, 'If I can't tell a story like it is, there's no point in telling it at all!’

Positive People...
I want to bring back pureness in films, stage, musicals and, videos that will uplift and portray positive images in our community. I feel that today's entertainment has sway far from telling the true essence of a story.
Instead, they gear towards more explicit and, stereotyping images just for the sake of putting something out there. My vision is to bridge the gap, creating wholesome, modern day classics.
I'm interested in working with producers, directors, actors, dancers, singers, and writers who share my same vision. It is my goal to bring back the elegance within the art with our company, 'AsToldByUs Productions'.
