Under the musical direction of Lauren and Jonathan, Class of '09, this group of men and women are bringing a unique new sound of Gospel/R&B to the Wheaton College campus. To learn more about the school, log onto http://www.wheatoncollege.edu.

WHAT IS VUJ?
VUJ stands for Voice United to Jam. Sarata, an outstanding member of the Wheaton class of ‘07, created VUJ. The Founding members were numerous members of her class, such as JR, the first Musical Director. Sarata, JR, and the many other founding members, wanted to provide the Wheaton Community with music that would teach, move, and inspire.
The Founding Members wanted bring diversity to the Wheaton Campus and student run musical groups. Voices United to Jam is the first Gospel and R&B group to grace Wheaton’s Campus. We are different from other groups because of our diverse, soulful, powerful, proud and emotion-rich voices. The music we perform sometimes incorporates instrumentalists and vocalists, which separates us from the many A Cappella groups.
Our music is moving, not only because our chords and harmonies follow musical patterns that were formed decades ago by the fusion of rich cultures and peoples, but also because we are here to move and inspire with the words we sing. We do not discriminate. We embrace and respect all people, regardless of their culture, religion, sexual preference, ethnicity, and personal ideas. We all have different voices. We use them to unite as one and connect ourselves to those inside and outside of the Wheaton Community.
