After getting his first record deal (Westside Music) in the age of 16 singer Frank met the guitar player Johannes and asked him to join his new band
the "few boys". "joe" played a guitar solo on the single "secret times", which was produced by Michael Münzing (one of the main producers of SNAP).The single didn..t hit the charts but helped the band to get some good gigs all around germany. Joe knew all great musician of the area and brought Hanno
as a main member in the band. "Then they were 3" and they composed and
created a lot of great stuff in their rehersal room and home recording studio.
the record company helped the boys to find a new producer which was
Ken Taylor (today Bass player of Peter Maffay) who fit perfect to the sound
of the young talents. A publishing deal with Chappell Intersong in Hamburg
was the result of the work with Mr. Taylor but the big major deal with a
record company didn..t take place in this relationship. the band played some
great shows between 1984-1987. In the summer of ..87 Johannes & Frank took a 2 week vacation to jugoslavia. they wrote some new song material and gave the band a new name "Voilent blue".
But all that couldn..t help cause after the sunny days at the beach the boys split to go different ways.
Johannes moved all across the ocean to San Francisco, Hanno played
with a german new wave group called FUX and Frank worked on a solo career
with Ken Taylor for 2 more years. Now 20 years later Frank was asked from
the local press if he can imagine to bring the band back together again ?
His answer was: "I..m gonna put the band on myspace and if it will be possible
to have 2008 friends I will reunite the band for some
gigs and maybe a new recording!"
