VOLiTiAN are workng hard in the studio and are ready for the right vocalist to come along to complete the lineup. Who are we and what are we doing?
VOLiTiAN is a band formed in January '07 who are fast growing synonomous
with the genre of "progressive groove metal" incorporating various styles
and influences from early Megadeth, Metallica, Dream Theater, Iron
Maiden, Rage Against The Machine, Mudvayne, Tool & Rush right upto the
latter day Killswitch Engage, Soilwork, Nonpoint, Element Eighty,
Static-X, Disturbed. But it doesn't stop there, by adding in elements
from random other musical influences we've formulated what is essentially
something that no-one has been able to truly pinpoint which we can only
hope and assume is a good thing :-)
The progressive elements involve a dabbling in odd time signatures
seamlessly integrating those into diverse and complex yet easily absorbed
phrasing providing a texture rich and involving musicality throughout
each song.
The groove feel of each track means that you'll never be left watching
the music happen, you'll be finding yourself starting at the initial
"headbop" or "foot-tap" moving right onto the full on "throw yourself
into the music with no regards for your own safety" type body movements
The "Metal" aspect delivers exactly what you've come to know and love,
searing riffs filled with "down and dirty" basslines, coupled with
rhythms that always leave you craving more...
All in all, we're focussed yet loose, we're complex yet satisfying and
moreover we're diverse but yet ultimately appealing to many a lover of
the heavier stuff, so what can you expect from us apart from all of this?

Cool sound Volitian. Good luck finding a singer and dont let a bog-standard screamer come in and turn you into "just another metalcore band" Hold out for someone unique/awesome.
ye guys gimme heads up when the new stuff comes on the page would love to hear it as i said the stuff youve done already sounds pretty sweet. wish i was livin in cambridge would try out then lol its the kinda sound i like and know so well. It reminds me of dt, bullet, metallica and a bit of killswitch all in one
hey guys thanx for the add. music sound is awsome incorperating some of my favorite bands especially bfmv. Hope the hunt for a vocalist is going well. As a vocalist/singer myself i know how the right voice is quite a big job to fill. Good luck to you guys ill be watching this space :D
