VolkanikMan (Volkan Aykac) was born as a child of Turkish immigrants in West-Berlin,Germany, in 1982 . Currently, he is a medical student at the Charité Medical University in Berlin, Germany. Besides his being a medical student VolkanikMan is known as a reggae/dancehall/soca-artist.
In the majority of cases his lyrics are German, but sometimes also English and Turkish that makes him special and different from many other artists.
When he was 14 he wrote his first rap lyrics and had his first live performance in school. Since 2003 he has been making Reggae-Dancehall-Soca. When he plays gigs he get backed by bands or DJs/Selectors.
In the past (everything happened as a hobby musician!!!) he played as support act for Manu Chao and Beenie Man, worked and played a concert with Tippa Irie, Irie Révoltés, Culcha Candela, Nosliw, Dr Ring-Ding, Mellow Mark, Yellow Umbrella, 40 Fiyah Crew, Ganjaman, House of Riddim, Bassix, Loomis Green, Dub Passport, United for Africa, German Doctors for Developing Countries, SWS-Sound, Reggae-Town, Selekta Mik, Whitebread Sound, Grooving Smokers, Dingolay Music, ReggaeInBerlin and many more...
Since 2006 VolkanikMan has been organising charityconcerts for aid organisations. Most of his activity in the music scene is for the good aim! 2006 the benefit concerts were called INADEM, 2007 CHAR-REGGAE-ITY (TOTAL DONATION about 10.000 €), 2008 it was called ACTIONS- NO WORDS-2008 and became also a success as the projects before (see homepage)!
He is part of "So Much Style Productions" that is why you just get music straight from the heart!

In three years of doing charity VolkanikMan and his aid projects collected summarized almost 15.000 € for other aid organisations!
