He is the only normal human in the SOS-dan. The name Kyon is actually his nickname; his aunt gave him his nickname, and his sister is responsible for it being used by his schoolmates. His real name remains unknown. Although the title of the series implies Haruhi Suzumiya is the main character, the story is actually told from Kyon's point of view. This has an interesting side effect, occasionally when he speaks his mouth is hidden, disguising this as narration and only revealed to be dialogue when somebody answers.

Niko	Sep 12 2008 4:04 PM And if anyone in your club is interested in volunteering, we just announced the first two of four volunteer dates: First Meeting: October 26th, 2:00 PM Second Meeting: November 16th, 2:00 PM Third Meeting: January TBA Fourth Meeting: February TBA The meetings are held at the Sheraton Music City, the home for MTAC Ninja. Our volunteers get into the convention for free as long as they do at least twelve (12) hours of logged work time. Of course, working over that isn't frowned upon. If you rather show off some of your work instead, the Art Show will soon be open for registration as well, so keep an eye out. Need more details? Feel free to contact Ambera Bugg (art@mtac.net) or Cole Stant (marketing@mtac.net) and they'll be happy to answer all your questions! ******** Also, the second MTAC volunteer meeting is coming up in a week and a half. Sunday, November 18th, at the Sheraton Music City hotel at 2pm. If you want to get into the con for free and help out, volunteering is the way to go. You only have to make two of the four volunteer meetings, but you don't want to wait for the last minute for the ones in February and March, do you? They're both at the Music City Sheraton, where the con will be. They are: Sunday, October 28 at 2pm Sunday, November 18 at 2pm In order to volunteer, you have to make two out of four volunteer meetings. There will be two more early in 08, but they haven't been announced yet, so if you can't make it to one of these, you'll still have a chance. Feel free to ask me, the MTAC Volunteer staff, or the MTAC forums if you have any further questions.
