Sounds Like
The Volume Brothers - or at least a close approximation
The Volume Brothers play folk/acoustic-based tongue-in-cheek songs with catchy tunes and sharp lyrics. They wash regularly, help old ladies across the street and are kind to children and animals.
Chris Volume (aka Bret Noire) - sings, plays acoustic and electric rhythm guitars, ocassional lead, keyboards, drums, percussion, does some backing vocals and writes the songs; and William Friendless plays lead and rhythm electric guitars, acoustic guitar, bass, and does the backing vocals and the arrangements.
Founder member Andy Joyce plays electric lead and rhythm guitar as well as the bass and can ocassionally be cajoled into doing some backing vocals - although moving to Australia 15 years ago dramatically reduced his input.
Honorary Bredren:
Plastic Dave - drums, bass, percussion, backing vocals and producer on 'Hey You Why Are You So Stupid'
Chris Sammon - vocals and co-writer: White Van Man and co-writer: 'I Want To Leave You (But You're Cooking's Too Good)'
Martin Gibson - vocals, electro-acoustic guitar and bass on 'Don't Be A Dumbass'
