I read the news. Daily. I vote. I donate a couple bucks every week to places that fight to end homelessness. I organize clothing drives. I tell my friends and family about how they can change the world. I volunteer. I'm a leader in a group of young professionals who think Dayton is a GREAT place to live, work and play. I have a web site that connects people who want to volunteer to places that need volunteers. All for free. Why? BECAUSE I WANT TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER.
Visit my website at www.volunteerdayton.org to check out ways you can live united. We list real ways for you to volunteer in your community. Today. At the click of a mouse.
Who I'd like to meet: I want to meet youth, adults and groups who are interested in doing something to help their communities. Whether you've never volunteered before or you participate in community service once a week, I can find a place that needs your help today.
Take a minute to message me and find out what volunteering is all about.
We are looking for volunteers to staff our upcoming Cornhole Tournament for the Arts. The event is May 31 and will be held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum. If you know of anyone who would be interested, please call Kristin at Culture Works, (937) 222-2787.
how i live united: i love and enjoy and involve my son in an as many things as possible. we go places. we talk to people. we make things and listen and learn and question and explore and read and ride our bikes and plant seeds. in the rest of my life, i do my best to keep up with news, i vote even when i don;t like the choices and i write the choices and tell them what i think, i send letters to newspapers and politicians, i post what i can and share what i think needs sharing. i look for commonalities and explore differences. and if that's not specific enough, i work, i pay my bills, i have a good time, and i think about the things that i do and use and consume and discard every day. often, i take convenient paths, but i try more and more to take the more challenging but collective path. i give money, i make blankets to donate, i tutor. most of all, i dream--about good things and bad--and i share them all. ultimately, nothing changes if we don't question, and learn, and talk.

Wishes are meant for you to ponder, they pass along to someone in need, or can be kept all to ourselves. Wishes are sincere in belief that all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
My wishes for you are my own'..They are an everlasting trust that miracles happen and dreams really do come true. Understood is the value of a nurturing heart, the innocence of a child's eyes and the wisdom of an aging hand.
I wish that the morning sky will forever intrigue you and the stardust of the night will captivate you. I wish that you will always see the man in the moon and entrust him with your deepest secrets.
I wish for you a creative spirit that dusts your imagination with youthful dreams and opens you to wonderful surprises just waiting to happen.
I wish for you to yearn for nothing and find contentment from within. That you will always know what to say to a friend, that your compassion will heal, and many more names will be etched in your heart.
