About me: I'm Emily I'm FINALLY a Speech-Language Pathologist after going to school for way too long. I'm a Gemini- excessively talkative (with my hands), double pesonality, emotional, indecisive, opinionated, a tendency to be overly giggly, loves a good debate- annoyingly Gemini (even to myself). I have a fabulously awesome fiance and three wildly energetic, creative, adorable, lovable, step kids who bring so much joy to my life each and everyday.
I have synesthesia which is this really crazy neurological phenomenon that allows me to mix senses - I mix sound and taste- so I am a lexical-gustatory synesthete. Basically, this means that I taste names and words. My name tastes like melting ice cubes. I don't get any great artistic inspiration from this- just hunger pangs. But still! I'm pretty proud of my synesthetic oddities.
I'm Italian, Swiss, Polish, and English- but I say I'm Italian, because that's what I feel like I am. I talk too much and too fast and I’m too loud. Sometimes I’m fiesty and other times I’m chill. I'm unorganized although I'm trying to get myself together. I love tons of things. I try to see beauty in everything. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ocean with every inch of my soul and I love the streets of Philly just as much. I wish that I would have done more in the way of artistic endeavors. So sometimes I feel creatively frustrated. I hope this changes in the near future. My family and friends are the most important things in my life. I spend most of my time- obviously- chillin out with my family and friends, laughing, dancing around, singing too loud in the car (because I think I'm a Motown diva- move over Diana Ross), watching movies, laying on the beach, playing soccer , cooking for people, and drinking wine. Straight up! Gotta Keep it Real. Also, I love JJ from "Goodtimes" 'cause he's Dy-no-mite! And if you talk smack on NJ I will fight you. Also, I'm fabulously vegetarian and I'm gonna live till I'm 100! That's a whole lotta Emily. Yep, that's me in a nutshell. Well, almost...
thanks Em, you'll have to come see him sometime. he always has the craziest bed head hair going on. haha congratulations by the way, last time your parents were up they said you were engaged!
Hey! That game is this Sunday! 10am at Eastern! Totally fun, non-competitive pick up game. I'm trying to talk Carm into coming too. Let me know if you can make it!!! Tell Josh too! Have a GREAT Christmas!
Hey Emily - yeah it has been a while (seven years!). I recently moved back to Jersey after living in DC for three years for grad school and work. I managed to transfer within my company up to the Philly office, although I spend most of my time on the client site at Fort Dix (I'm a government/defense contractor). Bought a house in Sicklerville when I moved, which is definitely time consuming, but fun too.
I'd say that's the abridged version of the past few years. How about you?
hey! yes, lets put something in the books... our schedule is CRAZY right now, as i'm sure your's is too. jake and i both have school monday-friday, i train monday, tuesday and thursday, soccer saturday and sunday! our best bet at free time is saturday afternoons (jakes games are usually in the AM). let me know what your schedule is like and maybe we can actually get together this year!! haha
I'd ask how things are going, but your myspace is so thorough there's really no need since it looks like things are going well! Congrats on the engagement!
