And every month Isolation showcases a local/regional band that currently mines such atmospheres to show that non-EBM-infused goth is still alive and kicking. And this month I'm pleased to present THE ARID SEA, who I've been a fan of since I saw them open up for Sol Invictus years ago. By that billing, they're obviously influenced by apocalyptic folk, but their sound is closer to Crisis and post-Crisis bands like Death in June and Above the Ruins, rather than Current 93 or Ostara.
