The History of VoMiT!

VoMiT was the brain child of 'AntonTheSwan' in the begining of 2007!
Originally held at the Royal Htl Basement, Southend, our first night was in April 2007 with DJ's only which was co run with a friend of Ant's along with Beerbelly promotions Loz.
From the second Vomit in May onwards 'AntonTheSwan' Ben Schism and Spike co ran Vomit with Spike taking more of a back seat.Slowly Vomit began to build up a name, and a reputation for bein the 'sickest' night in Southend, on a once a month basis with Anton DJing Psychobilly,Ben Schism playing Hardcore,Punk and ska and Badger playing classic punk and even more ska and occasional DJing from Skullfuck and Spike the night grew more and more of a following!
Unfortuantly this wasnt enough due to the high hiring cost of the venue Ben Ant and spike decided to make January 2008's Vomit the last one after putting alot of blood sweat tears and money into it but to go out with a bang with Ben having the idea of having some bands play!

So Vomit Live as we now know it today was born and the night did finish with a bang....after this Vomit was pretty quite through 2008 but in the summer of 2008 we did a few one off co promotions with 'Southend Punk Re-Unions' doing some DJing inbetween the bands at Bar Lamb, and The Railway Hotel.
After a final night in August 2008 at Bar Lamb, we had a break and pretty much died, until by popular demand, and people not knowing what to do with themselves, our promoter (skullfuck) found a new venue 'The Kings Head' in Rochford, and had a one-off pilot night in March 2009 which was a big success which lead to us deciding to bring back the night at the Kings Head at the end of each month! As we approach our 2 year aniversary things are lookin 'sick'!
