At the momento it's Joei on Guit and Vox and Scotty Dread on Bass
We had an awesome jam with a new drummer from Vic (Brett) who had just moved up so I think he's a member too. (don't even know his last name yet but he rocks)
Influences
Everything I ever hear. Ricky Lee Jones, Skaddabox (julie Ohara), ex boyfriends are definitely influences.... folk, funk, rock, pop, even hip hop gets me writing
And nowthe final act for the evening.Joei! Shes really only been gigging for a matter of a few months, and well, what can I say? With this much talent so early in the piece The skys the limit.!
(Seando MC for Triple Album Launch Party, highly sought Magician and Noosa Radio Personality)
All Original! Quirky and Inventive! Joei captures here audience with humour and hurt, in a sweetly honest delivery.
Having grown up in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, home to the well know Maleny (turned Woodford) Folk Festivals, Joei was surrounded by a vast range of music genres and her keen desire for the spotlight inspired her to jump into the jams at an early age of four.
A desire to sing and express, teenage angst and the need for musical accompaniment was her driving reason to pick up her mothers old Yamaha guitar and teach herself.
In the last year, Joei has outgrown performances on her verrandah to an audience of sunflowers and has taken a flying leap out into the musical scene. 2005 saw Joei performing at various locations such as Noosa International, Get up and Go (Irish Murpheys), King and Queen of the song and most recently, was her first place win in The Big Band Competition at Woodford Folk Festival (Dec 05), followed by first place at Cycad Restaurant (July 06).
Joeis Debut Album, Monsta is a great entrée of folk-rock, reggae, swamp-blues and twisted ballads that comprise some of her 40 original songs. Her fresh approach to song writing and her engaging performance style creates a sense of connectedness among a vast continuum of audiences.
Outside the square, straight into your heart and head.

I think everyone is to a degree.
The less tv you watch the more you can hone these other skills.
That, or I'm full of shit.
Probably a little from column 'a' and a little from column 'b'
Wow I was finally able to experiance a continuous track or two, with my mad dial up downloading issues,,the stories are fantastic very soothing on the ears love to hear more soon in real life Id'e love to see the music matched with the physical experience ,, hopefully sooon,, keep up the impressive work
Hey Vonnyband - we must share a mutual love of all things Maton. I just listened thru all of your tunes and loved them, my favourite is Hoyo - beautiful stuff.
I did indeed... tidy work friend.
This may sound odd but I am reminded of Salmonella Dub somewhat... which is a good thing.
Also your jam room looks kick ass.
