The VoodooCasters are an original 4 piece band that has been in existence in the South Florida area since 2006. However, individually the guys have been rockin' the local scene since the early 1990's. The band consists of Tony Cruz (guitar/vocals), Paco Iglesias (guitar/vocals), Jorge Cruz (bass/vocals) and Pete Alvarez (drums/percussion/vocals). Rising out of the ashes of now defunct bands Naked Bootleg and Status Unknown, The VoodooCasters formed to create an original sound with a hard driving edge. They count many different bands and musicians as influences. Their healthy respect for the classics, combined with their already original sound makes for an intense listening experience. They have written over 35 original songs and can draw on an extensive selection of modernized classic covers during live performances.Their originals take on many musical forms,from rock to alternative to psychedelic to blues with such titles as Daze you were mine, Hypnotized, King of the Road and Happy in my Apathy.
The band is currently working on a new CD - Hypnotized should be out sometime in 2008 - stay tuned!!!
