Voodoo Court is an instrumental surf band that has been on hiatus since 2002. They were formed by Mark Kuhn (guitar) in the early 90’s in Santa Rosa California, and remained a Sonoma County fixture (much like a leaky faucet) until the summer of 1999, when Mark moved to Florida and Bill Feller (drummer) moved to the Central California coast. The band subsequently re-formed during the summers of 2000 – 2002 for mini-tours and recording projects; resulting in a catalogue of material that includes three CDs (Electric Beach, Nuclear Vacation, and Nuclear Vacation: The Party’s Over), six compilation CDs, T-shits, bumper stickers, and the ever popular Voodoo Court novelty condom. The band featured Go-Go dancers (wearing outfits designed by Debbie Kuhn - Mark’s wife), and many musicians over the years; including Uncle Mark Chait, Gerard Lock, Ryan Lewis, Chris Bradley, and Ace Montgomery (AKA Bones McCoy) on bass. Mark subsequently moved from Florida to Asheville, North Carolina, where he teaches music, plays in bands, and is building a recording studio. Once built, many new Voodoo Court songs will be recorded; after which new CDs will be produced, which will then be piled atop the unsold cases of our earlier CDs and make it damn near impossible to keep anything else in the garage. Please, somebody, anybody: Buy our CDs so we can free up some storage space. Who knows; you might even like it.
