| About Voodoo Hussy |
Voodoo Hussy are an all-girl roots fusion rock band from London. They like wah wah, they like chanting, they like the jive, they like funky bass lines, they like grooving, they like dapper suits, they like being an anachronism, they like the story of Robert Johnson and they love playing live.
Having had song play on Total Rock Radio as well as an interview, making the final of the Emergenza Battle Of The Bands comp, headlining the Women’s stage at London Pride and Vibration Festival, interviews and photo shoots for DIVA Magazine and I love London Girls Calendar, being booted out of the Jack Daniels unsigned band comp for being ‘too rock n roll’, and managing to be on the receiving end of Lilly Allen’s gob prove that this band is set for success.
In 2008, the band were also shortlisted down to the final four out of thousands of bands to win Best Alternative Act at the UK Indy Awards.
