Buy the book at www.boonecutler.com Boone Cutler is an advocate for veterans and author of the enlightening patriotic book “Voodoo in Sadr City”. Boone’s straight talk was written in the moment, day-by-day with boots on the ground. The book was started in Iraq and later finished while a patient for two years during the time of the Walter Reed neglect scandal of 2007. Boone served in the famed slums of Sadr City, Iraq where his team studied and fought Muqtada al Sadr’s army of Mehdi Militia face to face. Cutler chronicles the life of American Warfighters in combat and their subsequent return after being injured. This is the only first hand account of the rise of Shiaism, the Iranian backed Hezbollah fighter influence on the war, the brutality and tactics of Islamic Sharia Law Punishment Committees and how its followers threaten the future for America, Western Culture, Christians and Jews around the world.Movies

“I have little doubt that the efforts of his team saved many American and Iraqi lives during their time deployed to Sadr City and Tissa Nissan, and for this I will be eternally grateful to Boone and his men.”
Major Brian Wortinger, Instructor
, United States Military Academy, West Point ***
“Voodoo in Sadr City is a piercing story of one Soldiers efforts to accomplish the mission in an unanticipated insurgency mired by inept leadership and overwhelming institutionalized ignorance. The story defines the struggle of a generation of Soldiers face to face with their personal demons in an unpopular war few supported and fewer understood. This book is a prerequisite for anyone attempting to understand rise of Shiaism and the role of Muqtada al-Sadr and the Mahdi militia in the political recasting of the Iraqi national framework.”
Matt Miller, Senior Intelligence Analyst ***
“A must read for anyone who has ever wondered what it is really like to be a U.S. Soldier in Iraq. This is a boots on the ground – no punches pulled – eye opening account of life and death in Sadr City.”
Rick Worthington, News Director
KKOH Radio, Reno Nevada ***
“The historical lessons from Sergeant Cutler’s finely tuned insightful commentary and situational awareness provide an almost prophetic finished product. I sat riveted and hungry for the next page. I thought I had a pretty good understanding of war and this war in particular. I was wrong! Voodoo in Sadr City is a high speed, down and dirty education on the reality of Asymmetric Warfare as it relates to the radical Islamic threat.”
Michael Weiss, Supervisory Special Agent ***
“The author has done an insightful job of getting the reader to understand what the true issues and problems were in Iraq. As an Iraqi War veteran who was there in 2006 it helped me to make more sense out of what I saw and was told as an Emergency Room nurse in Balad.”
Alicia Adams, LtCol, USAFR, NC

Hi Boone -- so glad you're enjoying Riding The Storm! I've read your excerpts and am really looking forward to reading your book. My husband is, as well. He's in the Coast Guard and is currently working toward a degree in Intelligence and Special Operations -- your book is definitely right up his alley!
When will it release?
You're calling me hard working?! - now that's a compliment :)
All best-
Steph
