RICHARD LEE WARD SEPTEMBER 1, 1947 to JULY 15, 2009
Richard, God blessed you with a wonderful gift.
By unselfishly sharing that gift You have touched so many people. Your spirit will live in our hearts forever Your song will always move our souls to dance. May you rest in the place Where butterflies are free to fly!
This high energy band has been playing on the Central Coast for over 8 years. AKA the ROAD DOGS in the Ventura area, these guys live up to their name as they take the music on the road at many venues up and down the Central and So Cal Coast.
Besides catching them in your favorite pub, The VOODOO DOGS have also participated in several charity events in the Ventura & San Luis Opispo areas. They have been booked for many private parties... and yes...including weddings! They have also performed at the BB Kings Blues Club at Universal City Walk strutting their stuff and feeling right at home on the stage.
Each show has been nothing less than a display of showmanship and professionalism. Each one of the members has decades of experience in their own respectful talents. The VOODOO DOGS bring stadium quality performance to any club setting but really shine at outdoor festival events. (Check out the pix albums from the recent Camarillo Ranch Car Show an Kids @ Kids Renegade Classics Toy Run) Their audiences range from young to young at heart or just about any one who appreciates good ol' classic rock.
The VOODOO DOGS love what they do because they LOVE to ENTERTAIN!!!
From the streets and stages of New York to his present residence in Southern California, RICHARD WARD is a man of many voices, at once recognizable and unforgettable.
In addition to his vocal talents, Richard is also a multi-intrumentalist, blowing a mean harmonica and adding texture with a variety of percussion.
Richard has toured and played with some of Rock n Roll's finest, including Nick St. Nicholas (Steppenwolf), Kurt Griffey (Greg Rolie Band, W.C.R.) He has shared the stage with a host of different acts ranging from Eric Burden to Twisted Sister and everything in between.
If a rolling stone gathers no moss, Richard should be considered shiny as polished marble with his itinerary boasting hundreds. Still rockin' and rollin'...you'll probably see Richard performing close to you soon!

Growing up in Texas, JOHNNY SANCHEZ picked up his first guitar around the age of eight and was soon influenced by the rock and blues music scene in the early 70's. His talents followed him to Europe where he toured with the English Band Black Rose at the young age of 16.
In the 80's and 90's Johnny's musical career continued in Southern and Central California, playing with local bands including Amasa. Working to promote and support the local music scene Johnny has played in some of Hollywood's top clubs including the Troubadour, the Starwood Lounge and the Whiskey A Go Go as well as many other venues.
His style on lead guitar has been noted as exceptional and has been compared to the likes of Jimmy Paige of Led Zeppelin fame. He has a few tricks up his sleeve which he uses to entertain and create drama on stage.
His over-the-head Jimi Hendrix style antics are always a hit with the crowd. Johnny plays from the heart and it shows.
Transplanted from the land of Lincoln, Illinois, RICK FOX made his new home in Santa Monica California. His musical career began in his early teens where the influence of the Beatles Music led him to pick up his first bass guitar.
After years of experience with local bands including original act Cosmic Eye & Mighty Dog, Rick hooked up with the Rolling Clones, one of the earliest Rolling Stones tribute band, for eleven years. This band was signed on by Six Flags Amusements and completed a successful nationwide tour.
He has shared the stage with eighties icon Joan Jett and lead rythym guitarist Kurt Griffey of Greg Rolllie Band (WCR).
Musically and vocally inspired by Paul McCartney's bass and vocal harmonies, Rick has demonstated his talents that always sound smooth as glass. Slick Rick always lays it down!

Yes! I had a blast, as usual, when I visit my Cayucos! would love to put out the word in this area about the VD's, just don't know how to go about it.... Marin has several venues that would be appropriate and of course the city, but I don't know the bars there as much, but could send you some websites of some of them.
